John, the water is free. The idea is to purchase your own machine (one-time investment). I wrote it off my taxes. For about $1 per day, you have
the best water to drink plus the many other waters it creates by the push of.button. I have had my SD501 since January 2010. And I also own a K8 for 5 years so far.

John, it depends what unit you are interested in and your needs. The one I use and recommend is the K8. It is just under $5,000. You get all the waters, cleaning, laundry, sanitation with the strong acidic water, beauty water and 3 kinds of drinking water. You can clear chemicals out of your home as you get healthy hydrating.

The machines all have a chlorine filter. Fluoride is filtered naturally by the ionization process and goes out the secondary acid water tube. Drinking water will have no fluoride in it! Really one of the most efficient ways to get rid of it! This is what a chemist friend of mine said about it:

A Kangen water ionizing machine sometimes encounters fluoridated water. When the fluoride ion enters the machine, it is attracted to the anode, since the electronegative fluoride ion is attracted to positive charges. At the anode the fluoride is in the acid side of the machine, where it is washed out with the wastewater. The fluoride does not go to the cathode side of the ionizer (the drinking water side). The Kangen water machine therefore acts as a natural filter for fluoride.
